You just do you, omma do me :))))

Standard

Okay, there is some questionable music i like. so, shoot me.  well, no, don’t.  thanks.  i was in Mass this evening thinking about resolutions…i will remove said questionable music from my iphone.  okay, Goblin is GONE.  he has a very bad potty mouth, in my opinion.  i don’t think he likes anybody.  i always mute his song when it comes on.  bad vibes, dude, very bad vibes.  but some of the other songs, i think they will stay.

so…new year.  our favorite pizza place is closed.  roast beef sandwiches at home, thank you very much.  i wonder about goals.  i wonder about fitness.  i wonder about running. as usual, i think i’ll amp it up a little.  i have this unfinished no-holds-barred bucket list happening in my coconut.  what would YOU do if you had to list 10 things, cost be damned, childcare was arranged, etc.?  me?

TransRockies Run 3day 2012

TransRockies Run 6 day 2013

Century bike ride someplace friggin’ awesome

Jerusalem – to follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus…what could beat that?

Vatican – leave me alone.  let me be. let me wander.  for days.

Africa – a very sweet set-up – planet friendly, yet luxurious. hey, it could happen.  haven’t you ever heard of ecotours???

full marathon – anarctica

full marathon – berlin – i know.  sounds steely cold & military-like.  i just wanna check it out.

disneyworld/universal with my children

full ironman

okay, i guess that’s about it.  i wish there were  a place to train for the swimming part of an ironman – outdoor, open water, no gators.  a girl can dream, can’t she?

anywho, make you some resolutions!  goals!  whatever!  just do more to do better.

consider…one day your last breath will take place on this earth.  in this world.  what will happen next?  who will you see?  me?  i wanna see God.  i wanna see St. Paul.  my parents,  my grandparents.  my sister who i never got to meet.  St. Francis.  St. Faustina.  Mother Theresa.  Heaven rocks.  i wanna be there one day.

peace out, y’all.

  1. Great post! There’s a lake near here where my son’s best friend’s mom (an ironman triathlete on Team USA) trains. Open water. No gators (For real? That’s something you gotta worry about?)! Come visit any time!

I want to do a half marathon (gotta start somewhere, right?) but my original plans have been screwed by my husband’s work schedule. Dude NEVER has to travel anymore…but he has to leave the day of the local race. SIGH. I’ll figure something out, tho. I’m planning to post my resolutions soon.

And sister? I WILL see you beyond the pearly gates! We can lace up our running shoes together! 😉

  2. Thanks! I know, right??? The south has a variety of….obstacles, shall we call them?! There really is no open water, except for the planned neighborhood with a lake that I think has scheduled open water swims…that may be an option. I know there are no gators. But we just don’t have any lakes or anyplace that a person could safely train in…you know, that would be a great business! A tri-training facility that replicates different terrains, etc., complete with a huge open water lake! Cool idea!

Yay for you and rocking a half! That is a wonderful goal and with your running already under your belt, you will totally do great! I know, it’s hard juggling family & running. Santa brought scooters for my girls this year & I had no idea they would come in so handy for MY runs! The girls are happy to ride alongside me and I get my miles in, no fussing or fighting! It’s great! 🙂

Yes, we will totally run in Heaven! Think of the PR’s we will get :)))

    Happy new year, my friend!
